With the rapid development of the visual culture,mankind has already entered the era of being ruled by the image landscape.The documentary takes "reality" as the meaning output and occupies one of the channels for people to acquire knowledge and know the world.Therefore,"reality" has become the ideology of documentary.The presence of the video shooter as the main feature of the documentary is deliberately circumvented,but the production of the documentary is an artificial practice after all,Both the producer and the researcher of the documentary must consider where the meaning of the documentary goes when rejecting the fictional documentary becomes part of the construction of the "truth".The reflexive documentary is undoubtedly one of the most special types in the documentary system.It is highly introspective and calls into question all the claims of the documentary.The video shooter and the process of shooting are no longer hidden.Instead,the documentary is presented in the video text of the documentary actively.Therefore,taking reflexive documentary as the object of study,the concept of reflexive documentary is clarified,and the creative subject,the production process and the work itself are analyzed in a comprehensive way.Through the constant challenge to the boundary of the traditional documentary,the paper finds the difference in the characteristics,seeks the essence in the differences,and answers the question how the meaning of the documentary from the closed to the open.The concrete discussion is accomplished through four stages of questioning: First,what impact the reflexive intervention documentary has had on the creative subject;Secondly,how does the creation subject of the reflexive documentary construct the video text;Third,what aesthetic style and media characteristics are presented in the video text of reflexive documentary;Fourth,how does the reflexive documentary complete the production of plural meanings.In my opinion,the reflexive documentary is a multi-subject thinking field,in which the structure consists of relationships and the emotional narrative is the external tension.Its meaning production is based on documentary and confrontation with documentary.Specifically,it can include two levels: deconstruction and multiplication.One isdeconstruction.The reflexiveity intervenes in documentary makes the documentary has reflexivity,and the original documentary features or claims are deconstructed and the shadowed production of images becomes transparent;The other is multiplication.When the reflexive documentary completes its reference to the documentary in the form of a whole,it becomes the documentary of documentary,that is,the reflexive documentary.Reflexive documentary,with a process of addition,opens up the space of multiple meanings for the documentary,at the same time,it will reflect and question the documentary's noumenon continuously.This study clarifies the concept of reflexive documentaries,clarifies the creative characteristics of reflexive documentaries and supplements the vacancy of the type of reflexive documentaries in China.At the same time,pursues the significance of documentaries from the perspective of reflexive documentaries.Find a new direction for the study of documentary noumenon and inject a new vitality into the creative practice of documentary.
