Comic strips and cartoons have been using each other for reference for a long time,however,they have only become more and more prevalent in recent decades.Two different cultures which are not directly related to each other just get connected in the animated film comic strip.This article takes "the study of the aesthetic characteristics of contemporary animated film comic strips in the context of narratology" as the topic,and aims to discuss that the animated film comic strip is an independent art manifestation,with separate aesthetic characteristics.Originated from the comic strips and the cartoons,the animated film comic strips also narrate the story by the combination of graphic and text,but they are different in terms of their respective forms of existence、artistic features and narrative methods.However,the academic research on animated film comic strips is still in a temporary state that focusing on marketing strategies and economics aspects.Therefore,in this paper,the author tries to make a corresponding theoretical analysis and induction of the aesthetic characteristics and origins of the animated film comic strip and argues that the animated film comic strip is a new kind of art style with independent aesthetic characteristics.Aiming at the research of "the aesthetic characteristics of animated film comic strip",the author adopts the methods of comparative analysis,literature analysis,case analysis and hermeneutics aesthetics and makes a comparative analysis of the artistic features and narrative modes between animated film comic strips and the traditional comic strips and cartoons.The author mainly discuss from two aspects.(1)Make a comparative analysis between animation film comic strip and the traditional comic strip from the perspective of the relationship between the graphic and text.Through the analysis and comparison of the relationship between respective narrative emphases including narration,continuity and literature on the image and language levels,graphic structure,the author draws the following conclusions: Although animated film comic strips and traditional comic strips both narrate the story with pictures,their points of emphasis and the ways of narrating are different and therefore,they finally reaches different requirements and goals.(2)Make a comparative analysis between animated film comic strips and cartoons themselves from the perspective of media carriers.Through the analysis and comparison of the aesthetic characteristics presented by the media carriers’ story transformation restrictions and the expression methods of narrative discourses.The following conclusions are drawn: In animated film comic strips,the space-time in the cartoons are reassembled due to the limitation of paper narration,the deletions and reorganizations of the pictures,and the stories’ rhythms and pictures’ aesthetic effects also change successively.Media carriers’ restrictions to story transformation lead to the shifts of aesthetic modes.Aiming at the research of "The reason for the formations of animated film comic strips",the author mainly discusses it from the subjective and objective point of view,namely:(1)The social cultural contexts which forms the animated film comic strips;(2)The acceptances and recognitions of aesthetic subjects.Through the analysis,the author draws the following conclusions:(1)The root cause of the occurrence and development of animated film comic strips is the constantly changing and developing social environment in the 20 th century,including political,cultural and artistic factors in different periods.(2)The direct reason for the occurrence and development of animated film comic strips is the acceptances and recognitions of aesthetic subject.To sum up,the author considers that animated film comic strips are different from traditional comic strips,and at the same time they are much more than the derivatives of cartoons,which is a brand new art style with independent aesthetic characteristics. |
