“Knowledge” And “Wisdom”-A Study On Chinese Rationalism Of Pre-Qin Period

Knowledge and wisdom are the exclusive flowers of civilization and eternal pursuit.Exploring the process of knowledge and wisdom helps us understand ourselves better.By comparing Chinese and Western tradional civilization,we can find the difference in rational cognition between them.It is the different application in action that forms various national spirits and cultural traditions.The Pre—Qin Period was the time when chinese traditional knowledge and culture exploded.Hence,it is helpful to deepen our understanding of own traditional cultural genes.This paper is divided into two parts.The first part focuses on the relationship between emotion and reason,name and reality,irrationality and reason,and between desire and will.Next from knowledge to wisdom as the theme,respectively given up and thought,and knowledge and the method of dialectical relationship with morality discussion,finally rests on "the saint" image,to show that rational cognitive style of chinese traditional culture is from the traditional idea of "nature and humanity" intuition type of confrontation and rational cognition of height.Through the study of the chinese rationalism in Pre—Qin Period,it can be found that the chinese ancient philosophers started to discuss the ontological and ethical knowledge very early,formed unique and special wisdom.The concepts formed in this process fully embodies their cognition of the universe and nature and their own existence,which not only self—consciousness awakening,but also the respection of unified existence.
