This is a Chinese-English translation report on two lectures of the book Twenty-five Lectures of National Southwest Associated University written by Professor Wu Baozhang of Yunnan Normal University. The two lectures--The Contribution of National Southwest Associated University to the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and National Southwest Associated University and the Development of Western China were chosen as the source text.2018 marks the 80~thh anniversary of National Southwest University. As a wartime university,National Southwest University can be said to be a miracle in the history of education in China and the world. It cultivated many excellent talents and left a valuable spiritual wealth for future generations. The translation of these two lectures could let the world know more about National Southwest Associated University and carry forward its spirit better. The translation practice applied George Steiner's Fourfold Motion translation theory as guidance for choosing translation strategies and techniques.Trust,Aggression,Embodiment/Incorporation and Restitution/Compensation are the four stages in Steiner's translation theory.Steiner mentioned in the third stage that Embodiment gave two choices to the translator:Domestication and Foreignization.Since the source text is related to the history of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and National Southwest Associated University, the translator chose Domestication as the translation strategy, with an intention to help the target language readers to understand the source text better. The translation report consists of two parts.Part One includes the source text and target text.Part Two is the translation report, which mainly present the introduction to the original book, the description of the translation task, the translation process, case studies as well as the summary of the translation task.
