On The Value Of "Character Sketches" In The Creation Of Performing Image

As a director,its basic duty is to create the performance image,and as an actor,its basic creative task is to reflect the character of the role.In the rehearsal process of a drama,action is one of the most important creative means.Action is one of the important contents of role creation.Action is the way of adaptation,and also the visual expression of action.Actors should establish a complete and logical action in the situation.Its ultimate goal is to create vivid and real characters.Then "character sketch" is a very important rehearsal method between directors and actors.It is also an effective work for us to analyze roles and scripts.After a certain study of scripts and roles,we should use some non-genuine characters.Through these impromptu sketch exercises to analyze the action of the script,the representative life segments of the characters are selected as the material for the sketch exercises,so as to form the unique feeling of the characters and highlight their personality.The purpose of this paper is to make the director create a better performance image and the performer create and express the inner feelings of the characters better in the performance process."Character sketches" is one of the important methods in rehearsal process,and an effective means for actors to find the body and language sensations of the characters.The focus of this thesis is to comb out the meaning of the "character sketch" to the actor and the value of the director,and combine it with teaching practice.This helps the actor to obtain a higher expression in the performance and show the inner world of the character to the audience.This paper briefly analyzes the contradictions between the director and the actor,the duties of the director,the methods used in "character sketches",the meaning of "character sketches" to the actor,and the value of the director.Through the reference,literature review and its own creative practice to carry on the elaboration.
