Research On The Value Of Ecofeminism Literary Criticism

As a new way of criticism,ecofeminist literary criticism pays attention to the relationship between women’s domination and natural domination,and it constantly provides new ideas and perspectives for people to understand literary works.In recent years,many scholars have either put their works in the perspective of ecofeminist literary criticism,or explored their discourse strategies and historicity,or studied their development in China and the West.Few have made special analysis and interpretation of their values.The paper starts from five aspects.The introduction mainly involves three points: Firstly,it states the research status of ecofeminist literary criticism at home and abroad.Secondly,it summarizes the academic background of ecofeminist literary criticism and explains the purpose and significance of this topic,which shows the value of the topic.Finally,it introduces the research methods adopted in this paper,and describes its framework and main content.Chapter one,the purpose of ecofeminist literary criticism,is manifested in the construction of literary and humanistic ecology,natural ecology and the spiritual pursuit of arousing literary truth,goodness and beauty.This chapter discusses the value of ecofeminist literary criticism.Chapter II,the cognitive value of ecofeminist literary criticism,first of all,is reflected in the understanding of the homogeneity of women and nature.The identity of the "other" and the relationship between women and nature are the core of this section;secondly,it examines the one-sidedness of male classics to show the shackles of patriarchy and heroism to women.Finally,we should pay more attention to the re-recognition and reconstruction of female writers’ literary tradition,including their natural writing and ideas transmitted through texts,and their re-recognition of traditional female literature,in order to express the ecological voice of female writing.Chapter three is about the ethical value of ecofeminist literary criticism,which is discussed in three categories: moral ethics,ecological ethics and development ethics.Ecofeminist literary criticism enlightens the fraternity between people,the symbiosis and harmony between life and life,life and environment,as well as the development of human personality and the sustainable development of nature.Chapter IV,the aesthetic value of ecofeminist literary criticism,firstly manifested in its criticism of patriarchal centralism and anthropocentrism,reflecting the non-central aesthetic value system;secondly,in women’s writing,the emotional beauty revealed by symbolic implied language,and the emotional beauty of women expressed by describing the close relationship between women and nature,thus arousing people.The yearning for a better life,the influence of Chinese women,the deep excavation of ancient Chinese ecological thought resources,and the Enlightenment of the construction of contemporary ecological civilization in China show the aesthetic value of establishing the ecological balance between Chinese and Western aesthetic cultures.To sum up,after a comprehensive understanding of the value of ecofeminist literary criticism,we should fully understand and affirm its impact on human society,that is,its value.Eco-feminist literary criticism combines the advantages of feminist criticism and eco-criticism,which is a literary thought and a way of dealing with the world.Under the guidance of ecofeminist literary criticism,human beings should regulate the social and cultural mechanism,relieve the oppression of male chauvinism on women and human environment,realize the dual liberation of women and nature,deconstruct and reconstruct the rational culture,seek the road of the free development of gender and environment,and then realize the common unity of social ecological harmony and human spiritual goodness.
