Tone acquisition is the focus and difficulty for the learners who use Chinese as a second language,and the learners from different countries have different characteristics in tone acquisition.This thesis investigate Italian learners' tone errors of pronounciation and perception,acoustic performance,and the relationship between pronounciation and perception of the tone,in order to inspected their characteristics in tone acquisition when learning Mandarin.This thesis analyzed the tone acquisition of 56 Italian learners by phonetic experiments.Firstly,got the pronounciation samples of one-syllable-tone and double-syllable-tone through recording test,analyzed the performance of tone error rate and error type.At the same time,got the fundamental frequency and duration of the sample by using Praat speech analysis software,analyzed the causes of tone error from the aspects of acoustic performance.Secondly,got the samples of one-syllable-tone and double-syllable-tone through discrimination test,analyzed the tone perception pofomation from the aspects of tone error rate and type.Thirdly,organized the data by using R Studio,and analyzed the relationship between tone pronounciation and tone perception through the analysis of correlation and the comparison of the mean value of error rate.Finally,analyzed the factors affecting the tone acquisition and put forward targeted recommendations for tone teaching through questionnaires and classroom observations.The conclusions of the research are as follows:(1)The difficulty order of one-syllable-tone pronounciation is:T3>T2>T4>T1,the order of difficulty of one-syllable-tone perception is:T2>T1>T4>T3,and the order of difficulty of double-syllable-tone pronounciation is:T2>T4>T3>T1 The order of difficulty in double-syllable-tone perception is:T2>T3>T4>T1.(2)There is a certain degree of confusion between the T3 and T2 and T2 and T4 tones in the pronounciation and perception of single-syllable-tone and double-syllable-tone.(3)There is a positive correlation between the pronounciation and perception of single-syllable-tone and double-syllab le-tone,and they promote each other.(4)The acquisition of tonality by Italian learners is a dynamic development process,which is consistent with the dynamic development of interlanguage speech acquisition,and acquisition trajectory of the tone prounciation is not completely consistent with the tone perception.
