Research Of Street Names In Luoyang City

As a part of social language,street names can display the social and cultural knowledge of a certain area and reflect the implementation of the government's language policy.This paper is divided into three chapters.The first part is the introduction,which briefly introduces the research object and the innovation of the paper.In this paper,the current research situation of the official language landscape is expounded.On this basis,the weaknesses of the current research are found,which provides a strong support for the research of this paper,and explains the significance and research methods of street names.The second part is to study the street name of the Laocheng District.First,the number of syllables and beats of street names were investigated.Then the structural characteristics of street names are analyzed,and the generation methods of street names are investigated.The names of these streets are mostly named after the celebrities,temples,landmarks,markets,and streets where they have appeared,and some are named after Jiyan and jiayu(auspicious words).Final,the tense situation of street names is investigated,problems are found and solutions are proposed.In the horizontal study,the naming of Kaifeng Gulou District and Luoyang Laocheng District was compared to find out the similarities and differences,so as to explore better naming methods suitable for the development of the old city.The third part is to study the names of streets in Luolong District.Firstly,the phonetic characteristics of street names are analyzed.On this basis,the structural characteristics of street names and the generation methods of street names are investigated.For example,the names of the streets in the district are based on highlighting historical culture,and a large of "character streets" and street names derived from places of interest,such as Letian Road,which would increase the cultural thickness of the city,and reflect the strong cultural heritage of Luoyang.Therefore,this type of naming street would be refreshing.There are also named after Jiyan,jiayu(auspicious words),and iconic buildings.Finally,it points out some problems of actual street signs,and puts forward opinions and countermeasures.In general,the street name of Luolong District is better.In terms of phonological features,the number of famous syllables in the two urban streets is reasonable and appropriate,not redundant,and easy to use,basically following the rules of regularity.In terms of naming,Luolong District focuses on the promotion of Luoyang's history and culture,especially the historical celebrities and places of interest in Luoyang City.The Laocheng District in this city was mostly named after history and temples,buildings,markets,characters,and Jiyan and Jiayu.Most street names were left-over from history,and there were many street names during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.In the use of common names,the old city has more common names than Luolong District,but Luolong District basically follows the principle of "streets" from north to south and "roads" from east to west.Through comparison,it is found that there are still some problems in the translation of street names in the two urban areas.This problem affects the standardization of street names and the situation of Luoyang as a national tourist city.
