Research On Ethical Issues Of Human Enhancement Technologies

Human enhancement technologies refer to the technology that directly intervenes or intervenes in the human body to improve and enhance human physical,cognitive and psychological abilities and characteristics,and endows human beings with abilities beyond human natural abilities.By human enhancement technologies,human beings begin to go beyond the boundaries of human natural ability to achieve a faster,stronger and better life,which marks the beginning of human development into the non-natural stage of self-evolution.However,this technology of direct intervention and intervention in human body will bring welfare and prosperity to human beings,but at the same time,it will also cause some problems concerning health,safety,ethics and philosophy.The purpose of this paper is to analyze the ethical problems that may arise from the risk of human enhancement technologies from the perspective of ethics,and to lay a theoretical foundation for standardizing the R&D and application of human enhancement technologies.This paper focuses on three ethical issues that may arise from the human enhancement technologies:the weakening of human autonomy,equality and moral responsibility.First of all,human autonomy is the fundamental characteristic of human self-cognition and self-determination.Human enhancement technologies directly interfere with the generation and cultivation of human autonomy,destroys the foundation of the establishment of autonomy,and causes the weakening of human autonomy.Secondly,the application of human enhancement technologies create new unequal identities and relationships between enhancers and non-enhancers,designers and designers,and further deepen the unequal relations among individuals,social strata and even between countries.Thirdly,based on the weakening of human autonomy and the change of identity,human enhancement technology also challenge the traditional attribution of moral responsibility.In the perspective of human enhancement technologies,the causal relationship between limited free will and complex and distant consequences becomes uncertain because of complexity,and the subject of responsibility is redefined because of enhancement.How can we be responsible for future generations?It has become a practical problem.Faced with a series of ethical problems brought about by human enhancement technologies,this paper aims to put forward the ethical principles of people-oriented and respect for human autonomy on the basis of human physical and mental integrity,as well as the institutional norms from the legal and ethical dimensions,as the internal and external norms of human enhancement technologies development and application,in order to enhance human technologies commitment as far as possible.Good future.
