| At present,EFL teaching resources are very abundant,which contributes to the improvement of English teaching.Meanwhile,it also puts higher requirements for high school English teachers on the development and utilization of these resources.How to develop EFL teaching resources and then provide students with rich resources which focus on the social life are hot topics for educators.In order to improve the quality of English teaching and learning,some suggestions on the development and utilization of EFL teaching resources are provided.Based on this situation,the author chose 60 English teachers from the affiliated high school of Shanxi University,Linfen No.1 high school,Changzhi No.2 high school,Hongtong No.5 high school,Liucun Experimental Middle school and Qinxian high school as research subjects.By adopting literature analysis,questionnaires and data analysis to know about the overall conditions of the development and utilization of EFL teaching resources for high school English teachers.At the same time,the author chose 360 students to do a questionnaire to further analyze the condition of the utilization of EFL teaching resources.The research questions in this study are as follows.1.What is the condition of the awareness of EFL teaching resources for high school English teachers?2.How do high school English teachers develop EFL teaching resources?3.How do high school English teachers use EFL teaching resources?This paper collected data through questionnaires and processed the data by SPSS 23.0and Excel.The main analytical method is one-way ANOVA.Results are as follows:Generally speaking,the condition of the awareness,development and utilization of EFL teaching resources of urban high school English teachers are better than rural high school English teachers.And high school English teachers between the ages of 41 and 50 have a better idea of EFL teaching resources and can effectively develop them.English teachers between the ages of 31 and 40 can make full use of all kinds of EFL teaching resources to improve the quality of English teaching.In terms of specific EFL teaching resources,high school English teachers intend to develop and use paper EFL teaching resources,especially English textbooks and English reference books,while they didn’t realize the importance of English newspaper and magazinesand English literature in English teaching;The development and utilization of activity EFL teaching resources are not satisfactory,and teachers didn’t realize the importance of English activities;Teachers can make full use of various network EFL teaching resources and modern multimedia equipment to assist teaching,but lack the awareness of developing them;They paid attention to the cooperation among English teachers,but they ignored the important role of parents in English teaching.At last,some relevant suggestions aiming at these problems are put forward,which hope to provide a certain reference for the better development and utilization of EFL teaching resources for high school English teachers. |
