The talk show programs in the new media era, such as?Make complaints Roast?,?Let's Talk?and Papi Sauce homemade funny videos, are popular. These new program forms break through the humorous and humorous way of information transmission and expression. The fixed cognitive schema of a certain group or hotspot problem provides a new way of thinking and path of flexibility, eliminating the group's negative stereotypes and its subsequent series of threat effects.Humorous expression can achieve the effect of eliminating the threat of stereotypes by changing the negative stereotypes of external groups. As an advanced strategy of psychological function and interpersonal communication, can humor be a self-regulating strategy that suffers from stereotyped threat groups, thereby reducing or eliminating the threat of stereotypes? In order to verify this hypothesis, this study selected female college students to explore the influence of humor on the gender stereotype threat effect based on the N-back paradigm. To study the effectiveness of a pair of experimental paradigms, using a mixed experiment design of 2(with/without stereotype threats)~*3(task difficulty:low/medium/high)to explore the state anxiety level of subjects under threat of stereotypes And the performance level of N-back missions with different difficulty levels to verify the existence of the threat of gender stereotypes on the N-back mission.Study 2 examines humor as a personality trait, and explores the threat effect of humorous personality traits on gender stereotypes through a mixed experimental design of 2(high/low response humor)~*3(task difficulty:low/medium/high).Study 3 used humor as a contextual stimulus variable. Two experiments were used to explore the effect of humorous stimuli on the threat of gender stereotypes.Experiment 3a used 2(situation:humorous stimulus/neutral stimulus)~*3(task difficulty:low/medium/High)Hybrid design explores the impact of humorous stimuli on the threat of gender stereotypes.Experiment 3b uses a hybrid design of 2(positive humor/negative humor)~*3(task difficulty:low/medium/high)to explore the effects of humorous stimuli of different natures on the threat effect of stereotypes. The results showed that:(1)The level of anxiety in the stereotyped threatening group was significantly higher than that in the non-threat group, and the correct rate of the threatening group in the N-back task was significantly lower than that in the non-threat group, and the response time was significantly higher than that in the non-threats group.Threats group. The experimental manipulation paradigm of the gender stereotype threat effect based on N-back task is effective.(2)The high and low humor response groups have significant differences in state anxiety and N-back tasks. The high anxiety level of the group responded to the sense of humor was significantly lower than that of the low sense group. At the same time, the correct response rate of the high sense group in the N-back task was significantly higher than that in the low response group. The response time was significantly lower than the low response humor Sensing group.Individuals who respond to a sense of humor can effectively respond to the initiation of stereotype threats, thereby reducing the threat of stereotypes.(3)The humorous stimulation group and the neutral stimulation group have significant differences in state anxiety and N-back tasks. The anxiety level of the humorous stimulation group was significantly lower than that of the neutral stimulation group. The correct rate of the humorous stimulation group on the N-back task was significantly higher than that of the neutral stimulation group, and the response time was significantly lower than that of the neutral stimulation group.Humorous stimuli can effectively reduce the threat of stereotypes;(4)There are significant differences in the level of state anxiety and N-back tasks. The level of state anxiety in the positive humor group was significantly higher than that in the negative humor group, while the positive humor group had a significantly higher accuracy rate on the N-back task than the negative humor group, and the response time was significantly lower than the negative humor group. This study shows that humor can effectively eliminate the effects of the threat of gender stereotypes.
