Surrealism is a western art school based on Freud's theory and born out of Dadaism. It tries to explore the primitive impulse and freedom of thought hidden in the deep of human mind.Surrealism painting,as the carrier of art,is one of the most colorful works. It uses grotesque and exaggerated artistic expression techniques to express the intuition, desire and original experience strongly suppressed by consciousness, while the realistic significance of surrealist painting can be reflected through the selection of topics, content and style of painting. The author has deep experience in the creation of the oil painting ZhengHan,taking his own experience as the object of his painting, starting from the objective subject, taking the interweaving of dream and reality as the background of his painting, and using various forms of painting techniques to put it into the picture concretely, aiming at interpreting ZhengHan from his own point of view,so as to highlight his surrealist concept of painting creation.Through literature research, comparative analysis, conference discussion and other methods, this paper triggers the author's thinking on the realistic significance of surrealist painting, and in-depth analysis of the creative motivation, content meaning, style and characteristics of his painting, which will be applied to future creation.
