Sergei Vasilievic Rachmaninov,as one of the greatest composers, pianists and conductors of Russian music school in the 19 th and 20 th centuries, became the leader of late Romantic music with his strong national style, melancholy tragic color, broad and sincere melody and excellent performing skills, forming a unique steel.Qin style.Rachmaninov's works are widely involved.Among them,he wrote the Second Piano Concerto in 1900 and1901,which has become one of the most popular works and occupies a very important position in all his works. It is the first work of spiritual rise after years of depression, and it has become an important turning point in the composer's spiritual world. The whole work is famous for its "vigorous" momentum and difficult performance, which embodies Rachmaninov's great artistic conception and personal emotional accumulation, and has become one of the most frequent and popular concerts performed by many orchestras and masters. In the process of learning this work, the author can clearly grasp the style characteristics of Rachmaninoff's works and get the performance guidance from them, listening to a large number of performance versions.,but also found that there were almost no documents comparing and analyzing the similarities and differences between them. Therefore,it is decided to combine the experience of the audience and sublimate the perceptual experience of listening into rational thinking, write articles, and provide guidance in reality.Practice.The author compares the performance versions of four pianists,Ashkenazi,Richt,Lang Lang and Janis,in order to discover the rules and find out the similarities and differences in their performance, which can effectively help the performers to provide more valuable reference in performance, appreciation and music learning. This paper is divided into four parts: First, the introduction, including the background of the topic, research status and theoretical and practical significance.Secondly,it summarizes Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No.2,that is to say,it gives a brief description of Rachmaninov, his Piano Concerto No.2 and the sound version used in the work. The third is to compare and analyze the similarities and differences of the four pianists from three aspects:strength, speed and performance style.Fourthly, after the comparative analysis,it is applied to the performance guidance. The similarities and differences between the above mentioned performers are analyzed, and the method of "point-to-point overview" is adopted to provide reference for the actual performance and teaching activities. The author hopes to take the comparative study of different versions as the breakthrough point to study and discuss this work thoroughly and comprehensively,to understand Rachmaninov's piano music, and to provide some reference for music learners in performance, teaching and version appreciation.
