The opera "Wilderness" is a landmark representative work in the history of Chinese opera.It was first performed by famous composer Jin Xiang,WriterWanfang and director Li Daochuan on July 25,1987 at the first Chinese Art Festival held by the Chinese Ministry of Culture,and was praised unanimously by the literary and artistic circles throughout the country.At that time,China was at the beginning of thereform and opening up after ten years of cultural dictatorship,with the opening of thenational gate,the convergence of various cultures and the surge of new ideas.It was in this open and active cultural atmosphere that the opera Wilderness rose like a goldenphoenix.The Wilderness is the first original Chinese opera to be moved to the worldstage.Once it is puton stage,it has aroused tremendous repercussions on the international stage.Various international media have highly praised the opera Wilderness,and Jin Xiang himself has been praised as the "Puccini of the East" and "the representative of contemporary Oriental neo-Romanticism".The heroine "Jinzi" in the opera "Wilderness" has changed the common female image in Chinese operas in the past.She is neither a hero in the Warof Resistance Against Japan nor a cowardly woman destroyed by the old society,but a flesh-and-blood,more realistic and more three-dimensional female image.She yearns for freedom,dares to love,dares to hate,and has a spicy style.She is a contradictory body with complex and multifaceted personality.She has givenwarm,extreme and distorted love to the young plum,bamboo and Qiuhu.She also has the most vicious curse to the grim Jiao Mu.She does not like her cowardly husband Jiao Daxing,but her heart also impliesthat she does not want to hurt innocent goodness.She is in the whirlpool of the dark feudal society in the Wilderness.The composer Jin Xiang uses various musical techniques to depictthe complex and diverse character characteristics of Jinzi and her ardent yearning for a better life.Through the deepaffection of the singer WanShanhong,the "Jinzi" becomes the most brilliant flashpoint in the whole opera.Therefore,it hasprofound historical and practical significance to study the image shaping and singing treatment of "Jinzi" in the opera "Wilderness".This paper is mainly divided into five parts:The introduction part summarizesthe status and research status of the opera Wilderness,and briefly explains the purposeand significance of the author's topic selection.Chapter two is an overview of the opera "Wilderness",mainly from the opera creation background,script analysis,Jinxiang "opera thinking" in thefield of the embodiment of three aspects of analysis.The creative back groundin cludes the background of the times and the stories behind the opera creation;the analysis of the script elaborates from the plot outline and the language charmof the script;the practice of "opera thinking" in the field is elaborated from thebreakthrough point of music structure,music language and creative techniques.Chapter three analyses the image creation and role orientation of the heroine "Jinzi".Firstly,the relationship between the main characters,including therelationship between Jinzi and Qiuhu,Qingmei and Zhuma,the relationship between Jiao Daxing and his divine husband and wife,and the relationship betweenmother-in-law and daughter-in-law,which are incompatible with the fire and water of mother-in-law;secondly,on the axis of time,the character characteristics of Jinzi under different psychological changes are analyzed.Chapter IV is an analysis of the singing treatment of the heroine's ariain the opera Wilderness.The author chooses three arias of the heroine "Jinzi",namely "Oh,it's dark again","Ah,my brother Qiuhu" and "You hit me".Based on the plot,the author makes an analysis of the music and the emotionscontained in each aria and the details in the singing of "Jinzi".Chapter V is through the author's long-term learning,accumulation and understanding of the role of "Jinzi ",resulting in some reflections on vocal music singing.Including the training of singing skills,character analysis and emotional grasp,stage performance and so on.
