The opera Qu Yuan is one of the best works of Chinese national opera. This is a six sections opera with a big historical drama, created by a famous Chinese composer called Mr.Shi Guangnan,The opera successfully integrates the creative techniques of Chinese historical stories and Western opera.Qu Yuan, the main character in the opera,is performed in baritone. In the early stage of the national opera, there was no strict standard for the division of voices, let alone the information about the baritone. At that moment, the role was assigned on the basis of the rule of the traditional Chinese opera. But,with the introduction of Western Bel Canto into China, composers gradually figured out the concepts of voice part of male and female and simultaneously, the role of opera was determined by the division of voice part step by step. The baritone of the national opera first played a role in the White-haired Girl, that is Yang Bailao, who, for another, completely showed the characteristics and charm of the baritone.Since then, the baritone has drawn more and more people's attention, ending with an indispensable part of Chinese national opera, for,we believe, the diversity of voice part makes the musical level richer and attractive in Chinese national opera. As a learner of baritone, the author was deeply impressed by the melody and plot of the opera after learning and singing the aria of Qu Yuan in the opera.By consulting the materials to understand the creation background of the opera,he was even more impressed by Mr.Shi Guangnan's persistent creative spirit. The opera is another full singing national opera after the opera Shangshi by Mr.Shi Guangnan. The creation techniques and music melody trend of the opera inherit Mr.Shi Guangnan's consistent creation style. The author combined with the guidance and opinions of professional teachers,he analyzes the opera Qu Yuan as an example, and extends the singing thinking of baritone in national opera at the same time. This thesis will focus on the analysis of the musical image and primary aria of Qu Yuan, and combined with the author's artistic practice experience to summarize the three-year learning achievements of my postgraduate study. The first chapter of this thesis is an overview of the opera Qu Yuan.It introduces the creation background, plot and the character of Qu Yuan. The second chapter is the aria and image analysis of Qu Yuan's role. There are three main arias of Qu Yuan. This chapter will perform music and image analysis foreach aria according to the singing sequence. The third section is to compare the opera plot with the historical story to explain the reasons for the similarities and differences. In the third chapter, after analyzing the opera Qu Yuan,I combined with autor's singing experience and learning experience, this thesis puts forward some extended thoughts and views of baritone in the national opera, stated respectively from the positioning and characteristics of enunciation and baritone. The author thinks that a singing analysis of Qu Yuan aria and image can have a positive function in promoting the singer's skills and writing ability. At the same time,as a baritone learner,I also hope that baritone can develop better in the future national opera stage.
