Social strategy is an important part of learning strategy. It is a learning technique and method for obtaining more learning opportunities through the communication and meaning negotiation between learners and others. In the field of second language acquisition research, social strategy is an important factor influencing second language learners' learning adaptation, learning effect, and even social and cultural adaptation. At present, there are few empirical studies on the use of social strategies by Chinese learners in China, and there are relatively few studies on the individual differences and influencing factors of the use of social strategies.Through the methods of investigation and interviews, this paper understands the use of Chinese learners' social strategies, explores the relationship between learners' social strategies and learners' personality characteristics, and analyzes the factors that affect the use of social strategies. The study found that Chinese learners who come to China to learn Chinese use social strategies more frequently in their learning process. From the point of view of differences in individual factors:women are better at social strategies than men,but the difference is not significant.Overall,non-Chinese people use social strategies more frequently.Students with high Chinese proficiency use social strategies more frequently, showing significant differences in many projects.Older students are better at using social strategies.Because most of the survey subjects are scholarship students, and the differences between academic types are not large.Motivated students use social strategies more frequently and show significant differences in each project. From the perspective of influencing factors, the conclusions are as follows.First, students with strong instrumental motivation and inclusive motivation have the highest level of use of social strategies.Students with strong integration motivation use social strategies in most projects higher than those with strong instrumental motivation.Second,37 typical introverted students and 40 extroverted students were selected.By comparison, the social strategies of extroverted students showed significant differences in all aspects of social strategies. There are three main factors that significantly affect the use of social strategies. From high to low, they are extroverted personality, inclusive motivation, and foreign language interest. The three play a positive role in the use of social strategies.Learning anxiety has a negative impact on the use of social strategies.
