As the spiritual home of a nation and the golden card of a country,cultural heritage needs to play a role by protecting,displaying and disseminating its own cultural value.With the functions of displaying and conveying cultural heritage to the public,museums are the backbone of the protection and communication of cultural heritage.However,the contradiction between the huge demand for exhibition and the limited space has been hard to be reconciled for a long time,and the traditional ways of protection and exhibition are obviously limited.In recent years,with the development of modern information technology and the increasing popularity of the Internet,digital technology has continuously penetrated into people's work and life,and also been applied in the field of cultural heritage protection.Among them,augmented reality technology has the advantages of virtual integration,real-time interaction and three-dimensional registration,and has a promising development prospect.The application of augmented reality in the digital display and communication of cultural heritage can break the space-time barrier between cultural heritage and people,make up for the existing shortcomings such as the similar form,tedious content and lack of experience.Besides,the augmented reality effectively improve the communication efficiency of museums,has positive theoretical and practical significance for the digital research of cultural heritage.This paper conducts a comprehensive analysis of the digital display forms and communication elements of cultural heritage,summarizes the digital display and communication strategies,concludes interaction design principles of museums based on augmented reality,and then carries out design practice around the cultural resources of Shandong Museum.The main research contents are as follows:Firstly,discussed the research background and research status from three aspects,and clarified the research innovation and overall ideas.Secondly,compared the advantages between traditional and digital display,and to summarize the display communication strategies,the digital communication elements of cultural heritage are analyzed through the 5W mode from the communication study.Thirdly,starting from the interactive experience of museums,and the elements of augmented reality experience of museums are analyzed by combing domestic and foreign application examples to produce corresponding principles of interactive design in museums,thus providing ideas for the application design of Shandong Museum.Fourthly,on the basis of field research,the shortcomings and future goals of Shandong Museum were put forward,then collected user needs by questionnaire survey,field observation and user interview,so as to guide the development of design practice.The last,to connect user research,converted user needs into application functions,proposed the design scheme and designed functional prototype of Shandong Museum's augmented reality application.Finally,evaluated and verified application through usability test.Combining with theoretical study and practical application,this paper applies augmented reality to the digitalization of cultural heritage,summarizes the digital display and communication strategies of cultural heritage from an interdisciplinary perspective,proposes the design principles of museum augmented reality experience,and carries out the application design according to the cultural resources of Shandong museum.This project promotes the development of museum through digital technology,provides the public with rich and vivid cultural experience,enhance the visiting effect.At the same time,it also expands the scope of cultural dissemination of the museum,which is conducive to the sustainable development of cultural heritage.In addition,it provides beneficial reference and cross-disciplinary practical ideas for the construction of the digital development mode of cultural heritage in line with the national conditions under the new situation.
