With the rapid development of urbanization in China,the exogenous indicators represented by city population are not enough to reflect the profound connotation of China's urbanization process.Therefore,as an internal driving force,the sense of belonging and identity of the audience to the city has increasingly become an important topic for scholars in the discussion of China's urbanization process.City image song is one of the important cultural epitomes in the process of urbanization in China.It not only provides the field for the city to express itself out of the physical space,effectively connects the two main bodies of the city and the audience,but also enables the audience to continuously enhance the sense of belonging to the city and construct the identity of the city by listening to and interpreting the city image song.This paper will discuss how to construct the identity of the city from the perspective of city image songs,including the following four chapters.The first chapter defines the concept and research object of city image songs,combs its development context and explains the theoretical connotation of identity.The second chapter is on the basis of clear concept,through connecting the audience's listening and interpretation process of songs with the process of city identity construction,from the three dimensions of self,collective and society,it expounds in detail how the audience constructs the specific process of city identity.The third chapter,according to the existing survey results,explains the current situation and related problems of the audience's identity building through songs.Based on the above problems,the fourth chapter gives the targeted path suggestions that can enhance the audience's sense of city identity.This paper uses the research methods of literature analysis,text analysis,questionnaire and in-depth interview to explain how the audience constructs the specific path of city identity through city image songs.It not only combines the relevant theories of identity with the city image songs growing up in the context of Chinese culture,widening the research of this theory in China to a certain extent scope of study,but also giving some suggestions to solve the problems existing in city identity of the audience,which can be used for reference to enhance the sense of belonging of the audience to the city and enhance the sense of identity of the audience to the city.
