Since the successful application of the 24 solar terms in 2016,traditional culture including solar terms has gradually set off a wave of cultural self-confidence among the younger generation of China.As traditional calendar,the 24 solar terms have no longer been limited to guiding farming,but is more silently sneaking into our lives with a long-standing cultural attitude.Nowadays,the richness of material makes the masses begin to pursue things of spiritual level,hoping that the home environment can reflect their culture and connotation.In this surroundings,the solar terms culture has the possibility to become a traditional cultural communication medium.Studying the traditional interior furnishing art from the perspective of summer solar terms,and understanding the philosophy of the ancients adapting to the wisdom of life and the integration of heaven and humanity are conducive to inheriting Chinese excellent traditional culture,improving the living environment of contemporary people,and promoting the development of various professions within.This article uses the methods of literature research,field investigation,cultural anthropology,and iconography.The traditional indoor furnishings in the summer solar terms are set as the main research objects,and the significance of traditional furnishings to the contemporary furnishing art design is explored.First of all,trace thesource,that is,to clear the origin and concepts of solar terms and furnishings,and have a basic idea of their formation.Secondly,start from the two major aspects of nature and humanities,and clarify the influencing factors of indoor furnishings in external environment under the summer solar terms and festivals.Thirdly,sort out and analyze the different types of furnishings and their characteristics under the influence of summer solar terms.Then summarize the rules that ancient people used furnishings to deal with the summer heat.Finally,put forward the plight of modern furnishing art,and learning how to solve the problem and get out of the predicament in inspiration by the traditional interior furnishing art.In addition,using the theme of "summer" to design the interior furnishing scenes.The full text is divided into four parts.The first part is an introduction.The second part collates the factors that affect the traditional indoor furnishings of the summer solar terms,and provides basic theoretical basis for subsequent chapters.The third part analyzes the functional and imagery furnishings in the summer solar terms,specific to different types of traditional interior furnishings.The fourth part summarizes the characteristics of the traditional interior furnishings from the perspective of summer solar terms,taking function and aesthetics as the starting point,peeping at the ancient furnishings creation ideas from "the context of form and meaning" theory system.And explain thecontemporary enlightenment of traditional interior furnishing art,raise the issue of interior furnishing in nowadays,and consider how to use expressions and ideas of traditional furnishing to enhance contemporary furnishing art design.The third and fourth parts are the main content of the article,which summarizes and analyzes the traditional furnishings of different categories in the room,and explores how the ancients used the wisdom of furnishings to respond to natural changes and treat folk culture in the midsummer solar terms,seeking a comfortable living state.
