"For Art,For Love" is selected from the aria of “Tosca” in the second act of the opera "Tosca".As a treasure of many soprano arias, its singing degree is self-evident and countless people have studied it.However, previous researches mostly focused on the processing of singing skills and the general overview of character image formation, and rarely used audio as the research data to objectively compare and analyze the different singing versions. In order to understand and sing this aria more comprehensively, the author has selected recording versions of four important vocal performance artists from famous versions at home and abroad. The versions of the famous vocal performance artists Wang Xiufen and Zhang Liping were selected in China, and the singing versions of the famous Greek soprano singer Maria Callas and the famous Romanian soprano singer Angela Giorgio were selected abroad, which represents the first-class level of vocal performance art at home and abroad. In terms of research methods,in order to fully ensure the authenticity and objectivity of experimental data and the validity and scientificity of research results, the author generated the audio image of the audios of the four singers through Cool(a name of software).Based on the actual data,we compared the characteristics and commonalities among the various editions in terms of music processing, characterization and other aspects,so as to draw the enlightenment of the research in singing technique and singing treatment. This article takes the representative version of classic aria as the research object, and uses audio images as the research data, combining quantitative and qualitative analysis.Starting from objective experimental data,it guarantees the intuitiveness, authenticity, and reliability of the study, and enriches the practice and research methods of vocal theory to a certain extent.
