Ludwing van Beethoven(1770-1827)was a famous German compser,pianist,and conductor.Beethoven not only inherited the tradition of classicism,but also broke the traditional form of music,his own ideas into the perfect composition,for the rapid development of western music made an important contribution.In 1809 Beethoven composed fantasia in g minor,dedicated to count Franz Brunseick.This paper consists of an introduction and three chapters,which respectively describe the life of Beethoven and the background,characteristics and performance of fantasia in g minor.The introduction expounds the significance of the topic,sorts out and summarizes the related materials of Beethoven and fantasia in g minor,and puts forward the writing ideas.The first chapter expounds Beethoven's life,his main works and the background of his fantasia in g minor.and briefly sorts out the basic characteristics of fantasia in each period.The second chapter analyzes four aspects of fantasia in g minor:its form structure,mode and tonality,free variation of theme in D,the abnormal rhythm,and the characteristics of melody.The third chapter,based on the author's own experience in playing,describes the speed,strength and level of fantasia in g minor,as well as the skills of running quickly,playing chords and octave.Beethoven's “fantasic in g minor”reflects Beethoven's unique creative style,performance skills and artistic characteristics.The detailed analysis of this work is expected to provide a reference for music lovers to study and study Beethoven's music works.
