A Study On Color Aesthetics And Emotion Expression In Zao Wou-ki's Paintings

Mr.Zao Wou-ki,as an internationally acclaimed artist,was awarded the French Lifelong Academician for his artistic achievements and contributions.His art works incorporate the expressions of Eastern and Western art methodology.Expressing the colors and emotions of his artistic works reflect the rich creativity of Chinese and Western cultures,and become a model of cultural exchange between China and the West.Zao Wou-ki's achievements in art painting benefited from his deep understanding of the essence of traditional Chinese culture and Western art painting techniques.Zao Wou-ki's painting art has been well received by both the Western and Chinese art world because his paintings have brought us positive and useful inspirations.Especially in today's increasing globalization,how to innovate and maintain vitality in the development of our culture and art,and further expand the influence of Chinese culture in the world art field,studying Zao Wou-ki's painting art has its value and worth for reference.This study provides reference and inspiration for domestic contemporary art by the literature review on colors,emotions,and Chinese cultural elements in Zao Wou-ki's paintings;through analysis of colors in Zao Wou-ki's paintings,he explores the emotional expression and combination of Eastern aesthetics and Western visualization,excavates the vigorous artistic elements,and innovates the unique artistic expression.The current study has six chapters: Chapter 1 is an introduction to the literature review of Zao Wou-ki's painting research and his other related aspects;Chapter 2 explains relevant color aesthetics and emotional theory research;Chapter 3 are the discussion and analysis of Zao Wou-ki's abstract painting elements and his color aesthetics;Chapter 4studies the emotional expression of Zao Wou-ki's paintings;Chapter 5 is the researchimplications of Zao Wou-ki's abstract paintings;Chapter 6 are the conclusions and prospects.Zao Wou-ki's artistic works demonstrate that art is not a simple imitation,but an emotional expression to seek inner spirit;the expression of painting should be conciseness and innovation;painting art should use color boldly to express the physical images and focus on its visual impact.Summarizing Zao Wou-ki's paintings has important inspirations for the artistic creation: Firstly,openness and inclusiveness of artistic exploration;secondly,artistic creation is not a simply reproduction but understanding its way of thinking;thirdly,artistic performances and aesthetic laws will change with the times.By studying the works of Zao Wou-ki's paintings in today's globalizing world,how to strengthen Chinese art cultural confidence and find its own right to speak in the context of globalization require us to think in the further.
