The Research Of Ritual And Music Culture On Funeral Ceremony In Luling

As the cultural foundation of the Chinese nation,culture of the ritual and music is kept in folk wedding and funerals to the greatest extent.For its unique regionalism,Luling has almost completely inherited the ancient traditional etiquette pattern in the funeral activities,which can be regarded as the representative funeral etiquette pattern of the Han nationality.This paper is to investigate and study the complicated rites of Luling funeral from the perspective of ritual and music culture.This paper firstly explores the origin of ritual and music culture,focuses on analyzing the rich connotation of ritual and music culture in funeral activities,and briefly investigates the change and evolution of the expression forms of ritual and music culture in funeral ceremonies from the Zhou Dynasty to the present.As the focus of the thesis,We have meticulously investigated the funeral activities in Luling area,including all kinds of processes of folk etiquettes on funeral occasions.It can be seen that the way of its elaborate funeral,carings and sacrifice ceremony is due to the strong filial culture,The differences in kinship,mourning dress,and gender differences reflected in the various kinds of rituals all show their distinct concepts of order.In particular,the "keening" ceremony with regional style is of great significance on the whole ceremony.On the one hand,it shows the harmonious beauty essence of "music" itself,that is,it adheres to the principle of "beauty of neutrality",maintains the characteristics of "beauty and goodness",and yearns for the realm of "unity of nature and man".On the other hand,it indirectly alludes to the unique life view and aesthetic appeal of local people.In the face of life and death,we should not only achieve the purpose of "entertaining gods and people" and "blessing life with death" through funeral rites,but also maintain the optimistic attitude under the characteristics of "musical culture".In the quick urbanization process,funeral in Luling is increasingly showing a trend of commercialization and professionalization,it is particularly important and necessary to study the funeral ceremony of Luling,which is of great practical significance and academic value for us to understand the local cultural customs and historical status,etc.At the same time,we also hope that our research can provide a basis and help for the local government to carry out intangible cultural heritage protection work to a certain extent.
