On the basis of systematically sorting out the existing research results,this paper selected 158 students in the second grade of a senior middle school in Yan' an city as the research object based on the emotional filtering hypothesis and humanistic psychology.Questionnaires,interviews and some other research methods were adopted to collect the required data and obtain the students' English exam results,Horwitz's Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale(FLCAS)was used as a measurement tool.The relevant data was input and processed through the SPSS21.0 social science statistical software to analyze the state of high school students' anxiety in English learning,and the relationship between English learning anxiety and English achievement of high school students,the following conclusions are drawn:1)High school students generally have anxiety in English learning.The number of high anxiety is lower than that of low anxiety,and the overall level of English anxiety is at a medium level.2)There is a significant negative correlation between high school students' English learning anxiety and English achievement.In general,the higher the anxiety level,the worse the English achievement.Among the communicative anxiety,exam anxiety and negative evaluation anxiety,communicative anxiety has the most significant effect on English learning.Conclusions and suggestions: in the teaching process,a teacher-led and student-centered teaching concept should be effectively established.Teachers should create a relaxed and pleasant classroom atmosphere to help students effectively relieve and overcome learning anxiety,especially communication anxiety;Teachers should guide students to correctly understand and calmly face the common anxiety problems in English learning,and encourage them to build confidence,to overcome difficulties,to effectively ease and eliminate anxiety in order to avoid the accumulation of anxiety,to transform their learning pressure into learning motivation to help them learn effectively and grow healthily.
