The concept of "people-oriented" in design in China has been influenced by many aspects,not only by the western ideas of art and design,but also by the Chinese traditional ideology and culture.From the long history of our country,it is not difficult to find that what is interlinked with the modern design concept of "people-oriented" is the concept of "benevolence" emphasized by Chinese Confucianism,whose ultimate purpose is to care for people.The morality advocated by Confucianism constitutes the mainstream theory of Chinese traditional moral theory.Even today,our way of thinking and behavior characteristics are influenced by Confucianism.When we look back from the point of view of researchers and designers of design,is the design we do really people-oriented? Most of the design is purely to cater to people's material desire.But with nature warning that sustainable human development is imperative,truly people-oriented design must be respected.This paper explores the application of "people-oriented" design concept in visual communication design from the perspective of sociology.Based on the concept of "people-oriented" in sociology,this paper studies and analyzes its application in design from three important design problems in social environment.This paper tries to find a design method that can truly meet the requirements of macroscopic human-oriented design,and make it reach the function that is conducive to the improvement of human survival and life.The first part of this paper mainly introduces the background and basis of the topic,expounds the purpose and significance of the topic,explains the framework of the topic and the design research method applicable to the sociological research.The second part gives the explanation of some terms,and expounds the intersection of visual communication and sociology.The third part analyzes three obvious design problems in the context of modern society,that is,the ecological design,the design of vulnerable groups,the emotional design,and analyzes the causes and phenomena of each problem.Finally,three kinds of problems are considered comprehensively,and put forward the idea of fusion design.The fourth part firstly introduces the visual communication design based on sociological research methods,and then is one by one explains how the people-oriented design concept into the application of visual communication design,the problem in the design framework is introduced how to realize the design of visual communication with the person this,which contains a lot of interdisciplinary content of applications and references.The last part is the summary and prospect of the research object and the shortcomings.
