English Curriculum Standards defines that learning strategies include cognitive strategy, control strategy, communicative strategy, and resource strategy.Textbook is an important medium between teachers and students.Compulsory Education English Curriculum Standards stipulates that the learning strategies must be reflected in the textbook. So it is very meaningful to make the comparative study on learning strategies between Go For It! By People Education Press and Oxford English for Junior High Schools. With the help of corpora and comparative analysis and interview, the selected English textbooks for junior high school are used to analyze the compiling situation of the explicit and implicit learning strategy between the textbooks published by the People Education Press and Oxford, which will help to solve the following problems: 1)In what proportion are the explicit strategies displayed in the two versions of textbooks? Are they contained all the learning strategies required by the English Curriculum Standards? And in what proportion? 2)With the help of corpus statistics and comparative analysis,in what proportion are the implicit learning strategies displayed in the two versions of textbooks? Are they contained all the learning strategies required by the English Curriculum Standards and the Bloom's Taxonomy's requirements in the cognitive domain? And in what proportion? 3)Interview the teacher users of the two versions' textbooks, and in what proportion are the explicit and implicit strategies displayed in the two versions of textbooks? And to what extent to support teachers to help students to achieve the standard stipulated in the curriculum?By the comparative analysis study we found that: 1)As for the explicit learning strategy, these two versions' textbooks embody these four strategies which are listed in the Compulsory Education English Curriculum Standards, among which the PEP version lacks of the control strategy and the Oxford version lacks of the communicative strategy.2)As for the implicit learning strategy,in terms of the PEP and Oxford version, both of them embody the requirement of the Compulsory Education English Curriculum Standards and the Bloom's Taxonomy theory.3)As far as the teacher users are concerned that the explicit and implicit learning strategy are listed on these two sets of textbooks, which helps students form good learning habits and learn how to learn autonomously to some extent. At the same time, some teachers point out that the interoperability is not strong and the repetition rate is not enough among the learning strategies.According to the problems and findings above, the suggestions will be listed below for the textbook authors: First try to keep all the learning strategy balance in the textbooks so as to help students make full use of all the learning strategies, try to improve the maneuverability and repetitive rate in order to improve students' autonomous learning abilities, and then try to design the learning strategies in the textbooks properly according to the students learning styles.
