Study On Lin Yunming's Poetry

Lin Yunming is a famous scholar in qing dynasty.He is knowledgeable and prolific.He once commented Zhuang zi,Chu ci,Han Yu's Collected Works and they spreaded widely.Although his poems are not particularly well-known,they are also worthy of study.The yi kui lou anthology,wu shan kou yin and sun zai fen yu are the most impotant basis in his poetry research.this paper is exactly take Lin Yunming and his poems as study object.The records of Lin Yunming's life in literatures are different.This paper will demonstrate it.Moreover,it's also trying to conclude his writings on the basis of the previous research.Lin Yunming has been to many places and he has a wide acquaintance.After he was not an officia,he contacted with the Monks and Taoists frequently.When he arrived in Hangzhou,he kept a close relationship with local literators and outsiders.Furthermore,Lin Yunming has a deep insight on Confucianism,Taoism and Buddhism,It has a great influence on his poetry writing.In the early Qing Dynasty,great changes have taken place in poetics and many different views have emerged.Lin Yunming was just the trend follower.In addition,his poetics was in impact of the Confucianism.This paper divides Lin Yunming's life into three periods.Firstly,the official period(1658-1667).During this time,He was an official in HuiZhou and he sincerely hoped to make contributions.In this time,he wrote many poems reflecting current events.Generally,the style of these poetry was heroic.Soon,however,he suffered setbacks.He started to lament the danger of his official career.On the whole,his poems reflected his diligence and integrity.Secondly,the war period(1667-1676).After he was not an officia,he still can't forget what happened before.His poems at this time were full of depression.Meanwhile,he was often regretted that time passed so quickly.The Geng Jingzhong Rebellion brought him great pain and he narrowly escaped death.He wrote about his experience in his poems.It was a sign that the people went through a lot during the war.Thirdly,the wandering time(1676-1697).After he was released from prison,he moved to Hangzhou,poorly.In his poetry,he expressed his homesickness.The artistic style of his poetry is profound and melancholy and Lin Yunming is good at using allusions.his own profound knowledge sets a foundation for poetry writings.
