The Present Situation And Development Of Accordion Education In China

The Beijing International Accordion Festival is hosted by the Central Conservatory of Music.Since its inception in 2011,it has attracted the attention of professionals at home and abroad.Following the two International Accordion Festivals in 2011 and 2014,the 3rd International Accordion Festival in Beijing was held as scheduled from November 14 th to 18 th,2017.Compared with the previous two times,the festival invited more educators,performers and famous scholars from the domestic and international accordion professions.The festival has more content and has hosted many academic lectures and concerts.The issues discussed are closely related to the professional development of the current accordion,which has had a great impact in the field.Accordion education in China has undergone several changes in the past few decades.This festival fully demonstrates the achievements of the development of accordion education in China,and also reflects some problems.Based on the 3rd International Accordion Festival in Beijing,this paper studies the development and current situation of accordion education in China through the activities of the festival.The author recorded and organized the video materials of the four academic forums and lectures,six concerts and ten master classes.Through the review of the festival,combined with the investigation and research on the current situation of accordion education in China,this paper observes and summarizes the current situation of accordion education in China from the aspects of professional education,amateur education and regional education,thus discovering that the accordion education in China has a heavy style and light weight.Practice light theory,lack of classic works that touch people's hearts,lack of integration with other forms of musical performance.Suggestions such as playing “Specifications”,actively constructing theoretical results,and promoting the development of accordion collaboration art are proposed.Finally,it elaborates the inspiration brought by this festival and considers the development trend of accordion education in China.
