With the increasing frequency of economic exchanges between Vietnam and China in recent years,more and more Vietnamese students have chosen to study Chinese.Chinese writing skills are the most difficult language skills in Chinese as a second language.This paper takes the undergraduates of Chinese majors of three key universities in Vietnam(Ton Duc Thang University,Ho Chi Minh City of University Social Sciences and Humanities,Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University)as the research object,and investigates their cognition and perception of chinese writing course.According to the learning theory of three educational psychologists(Gagne's cumulative learning theory,Piaget's cognitive development stage theory and Ausubel's learning theory)a questionnaire survey of the students' learning model test was designed.The data statistics method was used to find that Vietnamese students mainly belong to the traditional teaching model.Most students also rely on the attributes of teachers and courses to acquire knowledge.By applying the quantitative SPSS regression analysis method,the result indicates five main factors(language knowledge and skills,learning activities,subject and content,language expression and culture)that influencing the interest and strategy of undergraduate students in learning the course.The author found that the most affected factors by language knowledge and skills,followed by learning activities,language expression,and finally by subject and content.Through interviewed some teachers of the writing course in the Chinese majors of these school,the author has a better understanding of teachers' evaluation of the Chinese language teaching courses used.Atthe same time,taking advantage of the opportunity to serve as an intern teacher of the Chinese majors of three key universities in Vietnam,the author observed the effect of classroom teaching then investigates and analyses the students' cognition and perception of Chinese writing course.On this basis,the author proposes corresponding suggestions for improving Chinese writing materials,Chinese writing teaching,and Chinese writing learning methods.
