The Study Of Performance Technique On Pipa Solo Swan

The masterpiece Pipa solo Swan is one of the works by composer and Pipa player Prof.Liu Dehai.As a classic of contemporary pipa works,it expresses people's respect and pursuit of integrity and dedication through the image of an arrogant,upright and holy swan.For a better understanding of “Swan”,concrete analyses in terms of music analysis,the expression of literati temperament,and the relationship between "dot" and "line" were conducted in this dissertation.Based on Chinese traditional music theory,this dissertation first systematically studied the research subject in terms of music structure,theme,etc.The research subject personified the swan's agility and boldness by using a variety of variations.Further,the technical and artistic characteristics of this musical composition were elaborated from the aspect of performing skills.This dissertation expounded the skills,such as “dots in lines”,“lines in dots” and “combination of dots and lines”,which successfully characterized the image of a smart and pure swan with the highest artistic pursuit of performers.
