Research Onself-Consciousness Of Damasio

In recent years,with the rise of the field of cognition,consciousness has gradually become one of the hot topics studied by many researchers.In view of the complexity of the problem of consciousness and the different backgrounds and knowledge of many researchers,the numerous theories about consciousness that have emerged so far are not very complete and have more subjectivity,which will present different angles and focuses.The emergence and development of consciousness can be traced back to the beginning of life,and has been continuously developed and perfected in the process of biological evolution.Its complexity is mainly reflected in the fact that the problem of consciousness involves multiple research fields,such as philosophy,psychology,neuroscience,cognitive science,brain science,etc.,which makes many researchers adopt different research angles and research methods in the research process.Self-awareness is a core component of consciousness and an important breakthrough in the study of consciousness.To solve the mystery of consciousness,it is not enough to rely on the field of philosophy and psychology.It is necessary to study how consciousness and self are generated and how they are constructed in the brain from the field of brain science and cognitive science.Antonio damasio is one of many leaders in the field of brain and cognitive science.He visited the real case of a large number of patients with neurological diseases,studied their different parts of the brain damage and cause of the different levels of consciousness,behavior,and so on and so forth,and self can be divided into the original I,core and autobiographical self self,combined with the three regions of the self consciousness,from the aspects of neurons,neural mapping in-depth interpretation of the self is to be built in the brain.The purpose of this paper is to analyze the different perspectives,entry points and theoretical framework of damasio's research on self-awareness,and to analyze the theoretical significance of his research on self-awareness based on three brain regions: brainstem,thalamus and cerebral cortex.The logical structure of this paper is as follows:The first chapter first introduces how the self-concept evolved,then introduces the issue of self-consciousness,and finally mainly introduces the research basis of damasio's self-consciousness,including the Angle of selfconsciousness research,the entry point of consciousness research and the necessity of self-process in the construction of consciousness.The second chapter first introduces the neurobiological basis of consciousness,including the three brain regions that are closely related to the formation of consciousness,and the cooperative relationship between the three brain regions.Secondly,it introduces damasio's hypothesis of selfconsciousness,that is,he divides the self into three parts: the original self,the core self and the autobiographical self.Finally,the definition,classification and perceptual mechanism of emotions and feelings,which are important components of consciousness,are introduced.The third chapter mainly introduces the theoretical significance of damasio's self-consciousness.First,damasio's self-consciousness theory further demonstrates the theory of body and mind,and emphasizes that the body is the main place of self-consciousness.The second part is the analysis of the body marker hypothesis put forward by damasio,and the last part is the biological value of damasio's self-consciousness theory.The conclusion simply summarizes the innovation and shortage of this paper in the writing process.
