Digital Printmaking:the Language Of Art,and The Relationship To Painting Arts

During the history of human art,the evolution of printmaking is highly related to the development of engraving techniques,As there is a rapid improvement of modern technology,people's lifestyle and aesthetic perception has been changed,which brings a profound influence on visual art creation.Therefore,digital printmaking comes in,not only with a highly improved convenience in creative process,but also a new,exuberant vitality in traditional printmaking.Digital printmaking in the Western world,has been cultivated as a new form of printmaking art.However,in China,although there are some digital creations,digital printmaking is still a controversial concept,Hence,for a better development of digital printmaking in China,it is crucial to analyze the current situation of digital printmaking,and explore its artistic value as well.The dissertation aims at sorting out the historical development of digital printmaking art,both domestically and globally.The artistic features and significances of digital printmaking are concluded through multiple methods,including massive practices of digital technology,and comparisons between digital arts and traditional arts.Literature review,inductive summarization and empirical experiments are utilized in this dissertation,which achieves a combination of theory and practice,thus examining the directions of digital printmaking in the new era.Besides,the artworks in this project took a reference of the art style of surrealism,while the art languages of traditional printmaking are expressed via modern digital technologies.In conclusion,the dissertation provides a new possibilities for digital printmaking,by combining digital and traditional art expressions.
