A Study On The Land Reform Of Shan Ba Town In The Early Days Of The People’s Republic Of China(1951-1952)

Land reform in the early days of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.Confiscating and expropriating the land of the landlord class has greatly liberated the rural productivity,increased the enthusiasm of the peasants’ production and improved the economic situation of our country.Studying the land reform of ShanBa Town,we can see the maturity of land reform policy and work in the early days of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the important role of land reform movement in the construction of grass-roots people’s political power.Although the land reform movement that took place in the 1950 s is far away,the experience and lessons left to us in the land reform movement can provide help for the present rural reform.The introduction part of this paper expounds the significance of studying the land reform of ShanBa Town,the current situation of the land reform research in China at this stage,and the main historical materials for the preparation and application of the paper.The text is divided into three parts.The first part introduces the background of the land reform in ShanBa Town,that is,the national land reform movement and the development of land reform in SuiYuan Province,as well as the land relationship and social situation in ShanBa area of SuiXi at that time.The second part is theprocess of land reform in ShanBa town.Through the preparations of suppressing bandits and hegemony,reducing rent and interest rates,the working group of land reform has carried out land reform in all administrative villages.The specific stages include propaganda policy,division of class struggle landlords,confiscation,expropriation and redistribution,and review of land reform.The third part evaluates the land reform of ShanBa Town,abolishing the old land system,liberating productivity,strengthening the construction of grass-roots political power,and some problems in the process of land reform.Finally,from the land reform history of the CPC since the land revolution,we can see the maturity of the land reform policy of the CPC.The land reform policy of the Communist Party of China has been adjusted and developed flexibly with the local reality and the times.Only in this way can we have different plans and tasks of land reform in different periods,as well as agricultural mutual aid groups and agricultural cooperative movement in the future.Looking back on the land reform of ShanBa town and even the whole country,it is undoubtedly very successful.It has liberated the productivity,restored the national economy,built and consolidated the state’s grass-roots political power for the vast majority of people in the countryside,and made the influence of the Communist Party of China go deep into every village in China.These are enough to show that in the early 1950 s,the nationwide land reform was successful and necessary.
