| Instructional measurement and evaluation are quite important parts in the process of teaching,and also important means to improve the quality of education and teaching effect.With the construction of educational informatization and the advent of the era of big data,scientific,standardized and personalized evaluation combined with computer technology and relevant measurement theory will become an important development trend in the future.In addition,as a relatively common international language,English plays an irreplaceable role in promoting international cooperation and exchanges and mastering the latest international science and technology,so it is of great significance to train talents with strong English reading comprehension.Therefore,it is imperative to develop an adaptive test system that enables students to fully understand their English reading ability.This article first based on the definition of item response theory,basic assumptions and parameter models and the definition,principles and advantages of computer adaptive testing,and according to the test process of computer adaptive testing system,the algorithm to be selected in each module of this system is determined.In order to build an item bank suitable for this research and scientific standards,this paper determines the content standard of the item bank by referring to literature and new curriculum standards of junior middle school English.then selects 349 items and estimates the difficulty parameters.In the process of estimation of item difficulty parameter,the most important is the definition of difficulty in reading comprehension.This paper comprehensively considers and determines eight difficulty factors,use an online text analysis tools called Coh-Metrix,and combine with the analytic hierarchy process(AHP),calculate the difficulty of the item parameters.Then the statistics of the difficulty value distribution of all the questions in the item bank are calculated,and the results indicate that they generally fit the normal distribution.Then according to the system requirements analysis,designed the system’s use process,functional modules,conceptual models,interface interactions,etc.and its functions are developed and implemented.Finally,the system was actually applied,and the reliability and validity of the system were evaluated through the test data before and after the test and the English final exam scores,It was found that the Correlation coefficient between the two adaptive test scores was 0.899,and the correlation coefficient between the adaptive test scores and the English final score was 0.811,indicating that the system has a good level of reliability and validity.In addition,a questionnaire survey on the satisfaction of the adaptive test system was also conducted on the participants.The data shows that most students agree with the adaptive test system and have a better test experience and feeling.In summary,the effectiveness of the system on the English reading comprehension test has been verified and it also indirectly shows that the construction of the English reading comprehension items bank and the estimation method of its difficulty parameters are both feasible.Provide the basis and reference,which provides a basis and reference for the follow-up research of relevant personnel. |
