The development history of capitalism is essentially the history of acceleration, and the core essence of capitalism is acceleration.Acceleration did play a huge positive role in a certain historical stage of capitalist society, but the positive effect was historic and temporary.Accelerating the development of capitalist society to a certain extent will inevitably bring a series of negative effects, and eventually lead to the decline of the general profit rate, reaching its own limit, and gradually towards extinction. From the perspective of the school of critical theory of social acceleration in Germany, acceleration brings alienation, which is overcome by cultural means of pursuing resonant social relations and political philosophical means of establishing a good life.In the view of accelerationism, the automatic transition from capitalist society to postcapitalist society can be directly realized through acceleration or political adjustment. However, both of them deviate from the path of historical materialism and cannot fundamentally solve the problem. From the perspective of historical materialism,it can be found that pure cultural or political adjustment from the school of critical theory of social acceleration in Germany could not bring about a new society.Accelerationism subjectively thinks that the automatic transition from capitalist society to post-capitalist society can be directly realized, which is unrealistic.Only by reforming the relations of production and overcoming the alienation caused by the acceleration of society can the capitalist society gradually realize the transformation of the post-capitalist society, and realize the liberation of society and people.
