The hypothetical conjunction of "Wanyi" is high-frequent word in spoken Chinese.The previous research is focused on the semantics and pragmatics of the hypothetical conjunction in written Chinese,instead of its characteristics in spoken Chinese.Therefore,there are still some deficiencies in the existing achievements,resulting in some errors in the poor mastery of foreign students.The Theory of Interactive Linguistics is adopted to study the distribution characteristics and application status of the hypothetical conjunction in spoken Chinese from the three aspects of forms,semantics and pragmatics in the paper.It is hoped to provide some useful reference for Chinese teaching.The research origin,the research purpose and the research object as well as the academic research status are mainly introduced in the first chapter.The source corpus is explained.The main innovation of the paper is expounded.The innovation of the paper is mainly reflected in the change of the research field and the research perspective.The research field is transformed from written discourse to dialogues.The research focus is transformed from the hypothetical conjunction of "Wanyi" as well as the former or latter part of sentences to the whole interactive dialogue.It pays attention to the identity of speakers and listeners and analyzes the application characteristics of the hypothetical conjunction from the perspective of speakers.The formal characteristics of the hypothetical conjunction in spoken Chinese are mainly analyzed in the second chapter.Its static basic structure is summarized.And its dynamic distribution status in spokenChinese is investigated.The pragmatic characteristics of the hypothetical conjunction in sentences are mainly analyzed in the third chapter.Speakers have their own subjective views on the expression of the hypothetical conjunction of "Wanyi".According to the subjective expectation of speakers on the content of the hypothesis,the sentence with the hypothetical conjunction is endowed with five discourse functions,including expressing hypothesis,expressing expectation,expressing worry,expressing encouragement and expressing advice.In the fourth chapter,the semantic characteristics of the hypothetical conjunction are analyzed and generalized mainly,including[+ occurrence] and [+ small probability].The prominent situation of its semantic feature [+ occurrence] is analyzed.Finally,its semantics is summarized.1.Speakers assume that the subjective small probability situation actually occurs.2.They assume that the positive or negative situation of the small probability they attach importance to actually occurs.The relationship between the semantics and pragmatics of the hypothetical conjunction is discussed in the fifth chapter.Its semantic characteristics play a decisive role in the subjective expectation expression of related sentences.The error analysis of the hypothetical conjunction is carried out in the sixth chapter.On this basis,some relevant suggestions as well as a teaching program are made according to the characteristics of the hypothetical conjunction in spoken Chinese.It is hoped to provide some useful help for TCFL.
