Matriarchal power is inseparable from anyone,the research on matriarchal power has not achieved much in today's academia.This article takes the ancient Chinese matriarchal power as an entry point,back to the beginning of matriarchal power,taking care of the feminist factors in today's society,trying to show a picture of matriarchal power in ancient China.The introduction part briefly discusses the reason and significance of the selected topic,review the academic history of related research,including matriarchal power studies and studies in the Jiangnan region of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.In addition,it also involves research focus and methods,as well as the definition of matriarchal power and the basic concepts of Jiangnan.The first part summarizes the situation of ancient Chinese matriarchal power,including politics,schools of thought,etc.Discussing the official requirements for matriarchal power and folk scholars' speculation on matriarchal power in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Finally,discuss the two self-paradoxes of traditional matriarchal power,the concept of filial piety and the respect of men and women,and prohibit participation in politics and empress dowager participates in politics.The second part takes the Jiangnan region in the Ming and Qing Dynasties as an example,study the specific manifestation of matriarchal power in visible records,including filial piety,mother education,mother-in-law,master-mother rights,etc.Relying on the records of the official history,local chronicles,genealogy,anthology,etc.Divide all aspects of matriarchal power into categories.Finally,discuss the issue of strengthening matriarchal power.The third part focuses on the dilemma of matriarchal power,including subjectiverenunciation of matriarchal power,and infringement of matriarchal power at the objective level.The latter is compared with the criminal case review and the Qing statutes,demonstrate the law's maintenance of matriarchal power.The conclusion is mainly a summary of the previous article,highlight the shortcomings of female records in historical materials,and although the law protects the matriarchal power,this level of maintenance also has limitations.
