Research On The Expression Of Ceramics In Contemporary Art

Under the background of economic globalization,contemporary art develops.Different from traditional and modem art,contemporary art emphasizes the expression of thought,Pursues universal values and constantly asks the viewer in its own way.The presentation of contemporary art is diversified,and the materials chosen are more diverse.Ceramics is an important medium for the development of contemporary art,which is not only derived from the cultural attributes of ceramics,but also determined by its material characteristics and technological characteristics.Studying the expression of ceramics in the context of contemporary art is conducive to the continuous development of ceramics and enriches the development of contemporary art.Therefore,this paper explains the ceramic culture,materials,technological characteristics,and introduces the contemporary art from the time,diversity and boundless media,combined with the existing materials of ceramics and contemporary art.Secondly,from the point of view of ceramic and contemporary art,this paper analyzes why artists use ceramic materials to express themselves in contemporary art.It is important to find out a large number of cases in contemporary art,to analyze how contemporary art affects ceramic expression from the perspective of space,material,decentralization,,and discipline.At the same time,this paper enumerates the contemporary art works of four artists at home and abroad,and analyzes how ceramics is expressed in the contemporary artistic context from the point of view of the artists,cultural eoncepts,material characteristics and expansion,as well as the craftsmanship.Finally,this paper discusses the challenge of ceramics in contemporary art from two aspects:the convergence of ceramic culture and the distance between capital and ceramics in contemporary art.
