A Practice Report On Coherence Of Target Language In Simulated Chinese-english Consecutive Interpreting Under The Guidance Of Interpretive Theory

Ceramics,as an important part of Chinese culture,have an important impact on the development of world civilization.The spread of Chinese ceramic culture is conducive to the Chinese culture going out and enhancing China's international influence.As a carrier of knowledge exchange and sharing,online courses not only spread knowledge and culture,but also promote exchanges and communications between countries.At present,there are a large number of online courses about Chinese traditional culture in China.And interpreting them by the means of consecutive interpreting is helpful for the world to learn Chinese traditional culture.The interpreting practice material selected in this interpreting practice is the first two lectures of the online course Appreciation and production of ceramic art.The course systematically tells the development and important influence of Chinese ceramic art.On the one hand,interpreting this course can help the world to have a more comprehensive understanding of the broadness and profoundness of Chinese culture.On the other hand,it can make traditional Chinese culture go global and promote the development of Chinese ceramic industry.This practice report discusses the reasons that affect the coherence of the target language,including redundant information,unclear logical relations and semantic absence of sentences.And based on the interpretive theory,it is found that the problem of redundant information can be solved by omitting the repetitive and synonymous information and combining the redundant information;the problem of unclear logical relations can be solved by adding explicit connections,reorganizing logical orders and adjusting logical connectives;and the problem of semantic absence of sentences can be solved by converting active sentences into passive sentences,adding missing semantics and explaining source information.It is hoped that the strategies proposed in this paper to solve the problem of coherence of target languagewill be used as a reference for the interpreting practice in the future.
