Research On The Reorganization And Protection Of Ancient Books And Documents Collected By Qi Rushan

Qi Rushan is a famous drama theorist and writer in the 20 th century,he was also a famous bibliophile during the Republic of China.He not only paid attention to opera scripts,classical novels and archives of the collection,but also has the very reasonable collection books and the protection books thought.The research object of this paper is the ancient Chinese books and documents collected by Qi Rushan.On the basis of systematical arrangement and description of its general situation,on the one hand,this paper expounds Qi Rushan's arrangement and protection of his ancient Chinese books and documents,on the other hand,it illustrates the protection and utilization of the ancient Chinese books and documents collected by Qi Rushan.This paper is divided into five parts.The introduction mainly introduces the purpose and significance of this topic,study history and present,research key points and research methods.The first chapter is the basic introduction of Qi Rushan and its ancient Chinese books and documents,including the life of Qi Rushan,the source of the collection of ancient Chinese books,the classification of the collection and the value of these books.Qi Rushan collected ancient Chinese books and documents through all public places in the Chinese traditional opera,Chinese traditional opera aristocratic family,the court,market and street pedlar.The ancient books and documents collected by Qi Rushan can be divided into nine categories according to contents: the script of traditional Chinese opera,fiction,drama script,Shengping Department files,Chinese traditional opera literature,opera melody,“Shengping Department script,music score of Chinese operas and outline file”,theory of traditional Chinese opera and chart of traditional Chinese opera.These ancient Chinese books and documents have their own characteristics and have important value in editions,academic research and historical archives.Chapter two systematically studies Qi Rushan's arrangement and protection of his ancient Chinese books and documents,including primeval protection,write book inscriptions and seals,display ancient Chinese books and documents,compile books catalogs and publish them.Qi Rushan wrote a lot of postscript on his collection of novels and opera literatures,besides,it can be known from the postscript that Qi Rushan has repaired and preserved at least five damaged rare ancient Chinese books.Qi Rushan's library seal quantity in large quantities,and has a certain seal law,reflects his library philosophy.Qi Rushan founded the Peiping Dramatic Association and served as the director of the Peiping Dramatic Museum.He displayed his collection of ancient Chinese books and documents.He compiled The Catalogue Of The Peiping Dramatic Museum,including a total of five catalogs and published three catalogues of them.The third chapter,through the case of contemporary preservation of ancient Chinese books,illustrates the protection and utilization of ancient Chinese books and documents collected by Qi Rushan,including the contemporary preservation of the ancient books and documents collected by Qi Rushan and its contemporary conservation mode,to clarify its significance for later generations.Qi's collection is now mainly housed in the Harvard-Yenching Library of Harvard University and the Library of Chinese National Academy of Arts.Nowadays,it is mainly used to protect and utilize the return of ancient overseas books,digitization of ancient Chinese books and published.Its achievements promote academic development.This paper will be conducive to the comprehensive study of Qi Rushan and his collection of ancient Chinese books and documents,Qi Rushan's way of co llating and protecting ancient Chinese books and documents and contemporary protection of ancient Chinese books and documents collected by Qi Rushan.Further supplement and fully explore Qi Rushan's identity as a bibliophile research material.Through this case to explore by using the achievements of Qi Rushan's collection of ancient books play an important role in promoting the exchange of ancient books between China and foreign countries.
