Language and culture are closely linked.The cultural vocabulary in Chinese is short,concise,and carries rich culture.In teaching Chinese as a foreign language,students learn cultural vocabulary,they should not simply know the meaning,but also understand the cultural significance behind it.Nowadays,more and more scholars study cultural vocabulary.By studying the cultural vocabulary in the textbook,we can know whether the cultural vocabulary in the textbook can serve the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language well.This thesis takes Chinese as the object of the survey.The textbooks are compiled by Beijing Chinese Language and Culture College.A study of cultural vocabulary in textbooks by the statistical analysis and comparative analysis.It is found that the compilation of cultural vocabulary in textbooks,and put forward suggestions on textbook compilation and teaching.It is hoped that the author's research can give some enlightenment to overseas teaching.This paper consists of three parts.In the first part,on the basis of previous studies,combined with teaching materials,the author gives a new definition and classification of cultural vocabulary.In the second part,based on the new definition and classification,this paper makes a statistical analysis of cultural vocabulary from the aspects of new words,text and expansion.After that,the cultural vocabulary and the cultural vocabulary in the outline of Chinese level vocabulary and Chinese character level are compared to confirm the difficulty of the cultural vocabulary in the textbook.After a series of sorting and induction,it is found that the whole set of Chinese culture vocabulary is rich,cultural vocabulary has a strong history,strong expansion of cultural vocabulary and many supersyllabic words.The third part mainly points out that there are some problems in the whole set of textbooks,such as the uneven distribution of vocabulary,the difficulty and the lag of individual vocabulary.According to these problems,some suggestions are put forward to adjust the number of cultural vocabulary and reduce the difficulty of cultural vocabulary.Inthe aspect of teaching,it is suggested that teachers should improve their understanding of cultural vocabulary and explain it selectively.I hope the above suggestions can provide reference for more TCFL teachers.
