In the 1980s,the oil paintings of Yunnan ethnic minority went beyond the realistic category of ethnic paintings, and became an important part of Chinese contemporary art with the cultural implication of "regionalism" and the aesthetic pursuit of "marginality ".Influenced by the western philosophical trend of thought and modern artistic idea,Yunnan artists combine the mysterious and rich elements of local traditional culture with western modernist painting, and try to change art from a single mode of expressing vulgar social interest to art Noumenon, thus liberating the artist's creative thought and returning to the height of people-oriented.This paper first discusses the relationship between the multi-cultural heritage of ethnic minorities in Yunnan and the development of ethnic oil painting creation, then analyzes the background of the formation of "new figurative marginal expressionism" in ethnic oil painting, analyzes the causes of the formal language of "Man ",and finally explains the spiritual claims of this subject matter and its schema reflection. This paper also studies the way of establishing Yunnan ethnic oil painting in the trend of contemporary art creation and its role in the process of Chinese contemporary art,and explains its significance of the times.Based on the creation and construction of Yunnan ethnic minority oil painting, this paper probes into the related problems such as "life consciousness" and "human nature truth" neglected in the modern development of Chinese fine arts, hoping to perfect the contemporary Chinese art theory system.
