Ligeti's piano work music exploration is a work with a strong sense of innovation in his early music creation.This paper takes rhythm,an important music element,as a starting point to explore the morphological characteristics of horizontal rhythm and vertical counterpoint rhythm in works.The characteristics of horizontal rhythm pattern include uniform gradual rhythm pattern,continuous dense cycle rhythm pattern,non-rhythmic continuous long rhythm pattern,fixed time value distance combination relationship and rhythm pattern with folk dance style.The vertical rhythm pattern includes the rhythm pattern of mimicry of double part and interlaced contraption of multi-part.Then,it discusses the key points about the rhythm that the performer needs to grasp in the performance,such as the way of touching keys,the way of generating force,the use of pedals,and provides the performer with text materials for reference by discussing the key points of performance.
