Shigou records 338 pieces of inscriped oracle bones purchased by the Institute of History and Philology,Academia Sinica from 1928 to 1946,and 42 picked up by Li Qisheng,totaling 380 pieces.This paper is to make collation and revision on those collected in Shigou,composed of 4 parts: Introduction,Comparison on Images,Revision of Annotations and Appendix.Introduction narrates how these oracle bones were recorded and preserved and it makes comments on the main part of the book,with a brief introduction of this paper.Images are compared mutually in the first chapter,including photos and rubbings,collected by Shigou and other books.Some facsimiles will be quoted,if necessary,to select the best edition of image for reference and research.The second chapter includes revisions and supplements of annotations,including the following aspects:1.Correct the misinterpreted texts;2.Add missing texts;3.Make new annotations of conjugative pieces;4.Correct the wrong order of‘Zhao ci??'and‘Zhao xu??';5.Make supplements for words or phrases and attach new opinions after corrected annotations;6.Revise the less-normative annotations of Shigou.3 appendixes are attached in the final part of this paper: Research on Related Questions,Conjugation Table,and Classification Table.As we've got certain questions needed to be discussed in the process of research,there are 2 essays in Appendix?:one is about the origin of certain oracle bones and rubbings,and the other is to make further explanation of the phenomenon called“inscripting‘Zhao ci??'only without‘Zhao xu??'”in oracle bone inscriptions.The Conjugation Table collects new conjugation results seen so far and the ClassificationTable itemizes all of the oracle bones by category.
