From the birth of Russian national music genre in the 19 th century to "late romanticism",composers Mikhail Glinka and Sergei Rachmaninoff occupied important roles in the development of the Russian Romance.Taking Russian folk as a predecessor,Russian Romance followed the name of Spanish lyric“Romance”which implied the wisdom of Russian composers and the strong Russian cultural heritage.Russian romance is an art genre that has great academic status and ?Taking the songs "Tell me why...","The lark" by composer Mikhail Glinka's and "Dream","Daisy" by composer Sergei Rachmaninoff as examples,this paper analyzes the creation of songs and the practical singing then explore the artistic style characteristics of the works themselves and extend the thinking about the promotion of two composers in the formation and later development of Russian romance.Through this paper,it's hoped that more vocal singers can better understand the different artistic styles of the two composers and Russian romance,further learning and loving the artistic genre of Russian romantic and exploring its strong artistic charm jointly then and give more connotations to the subsequent singing practice.
