A Report On C-E Translation Of Manuscripts In Project Management From The Perspective Of The Functional Equivalence

During the internship in Nanjing WeFast Information Technology Co.,Ltd.,the company commissions the author to translate 9 manuscripts on project management from Shanghai Far East Group Co.,Ltd.The author carefully spends several weeks translating them into English and reviewing them over and over again.In addition to professional vocabulary and fixed collocations,these 9 manuscripts also adopt such special writing techniques as lexical rhetoric.Also,their sentence pattern is often complex and paragraph structures are logically inconsistent and incoherent.For these reasons,the author bases this report on the Functional Equivalence Theory and chooses proper translation methods for his translation.He proofreads and modifies his translation to maintain the characteristics of the source text.He manages to reproduce the expression of the source text and ensures the quality of the translation.
