Traditional patterns are the treasure left by thousands of years of ancient Chinese civilization.The patterns of ancient bronze mirrors are exquisitely carved and have a high aesthetic value.Researching on them will help us understand the profound cultural and aesthetic connotations contained therein.Applying these patterns to modern design will contribute to our cultural heritage and innovation.This subject takes the bronze mirror pattern of Chu state in Warring States period as the research object and analyzes the beauty of the patterns on Chu mirrors from all directions and multi angles.First of all,it explores the formation factors from the perspective of history and culture,and summarizes the main categories of Chu mirrors.Secondly,from a perspective of design,it sums up the characteristics of the elements and the rules of the formation forms of various types of Chu bronze mirror patterns through the method of case analysis,and summarizes the aesthetic value contained therein.Finally,it uses the traits and the law of constitution of patterns to guide the redesign,which will be applied to the derivative design.The combination of traditional patterns and modern design embodies the charm of Chu bronze mirror pattern.
