In recent years,Chinese visual vocabulary reading is a hot topic in the study of Chinese eye movement.Whether the semantics of Chinese visual vocabulary can be extracted directly by font information or by phonetic mediation.In the process of lexical semantic access,there are many influencing factors,including the attributes of words,the attributes of traditional words include word frequency,stroke number,radicals,etc.,among which the word frequency effect is the most significant.On the basis of considering the frequency of Chinese words,this paper makes a new thinking on the factors that affect the accessibility of Chinese words,introduces a new word factor similar to and different from the frequency of Chinese words: contextual diversity(CAI Q,Brysbaert,2010),which will be translated into contextual diversity,referred to as CD.This factor comes from Chinese subtitles(SUBTLEX).It refers to the number of words appearing in different texts.It can be measured according to the number of texts in the corpus.Contextual diversity excludes the frequency that a word may appear multiple times in a text.Some Chinese studies have investigated the influence of lexical contextual diversity on Chinese sentence reading.Through experiments,it is found that in Chinese sentence reading,under the control of word frequency,the higher the contextual diversity,the faster the vocabulary processing is.At the same time,the lexical contextual diversity effect is significant at the level of words and words.Therefore,compared with word frequency,contextual diversity may be able to better predict the processing difficulty of Chinese natural reading.(bole,2015)generally speaking,the process of vocabulary semantic understanding is: shape or voice activation-word meaning extraction-Determination of word meaning after sentence integration.In order to further investigate the influence of contextual diversity in the process of single word access,this paper designs a new experiment with single word as the experimental unit,To observe the influence of contextual diversity.The following conclusions are drawn:1.In the process of Chinese word access,the main effect of contextual diversity is not significant,which indicates that in the process of word access,readers will not process the words appearing in more texts faster,and contextual diversity can not be used as a reference for Chinese word access.2.Contextual diversity has a significant effect on sentence reading,and it is better than word frequency in predicting the difficulty of reading.In contrast,contextual diversity is not a better factor than word frequency in word access.3.From the different effects of word frequency and contextual diversity,word frequency can directly affect the access of single words,and also indirectly affect reading through sentence integration.It is speculated that the diversity of context does not directly affect the word access,but indirectly through sentence integration..
