| Love letter is not only a novel by Japanese writer Junji Ishii,but also a famous work.It was first published by KADKKAWA Publishing House in Japan in 1995.In the same year,Love letter was adapted into a film,which is very popular and well received in Southeast Asia,Europe and the United States.The novel also has a large number of readers and considerable sales in China.Among them,the translation of Mu Xiaofang was released in February 2009,the second edition in June 2018,and 49 times as of March 2019.The literary,aesthetic and film circles have all studied the novel and the film,while it is a pity that the translation circle has not yet begun to study the translation of such an outstanding work.At present,there are only two versions of Chinese translation: the version of the mainland writer Mu Xiaofang and that of Taiwanese writers Wang Xiaoling and Zhang Ling.Besides,as an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary product,ecological translatology emerges as the times require,reflecting the gradual diversification of translation theory.So by means of literature study and comparative analysis,this paper makes a contrastive analysis of the two Chinese versions of Love Letter from the perspective of ecological translatology,probes into how the translators of the two versions make the corresponding translation strategy choices in order to better adapt to the ecological environment of the readers,hoping to find out some laws to bringnew ideas for the development and research of translation theory in the future. |
