Analysis Of The Artistic Features And Singing Of Art Song The Vagabond

"The Vagabond" is the prelude to the baritone song "the song of the travel",a vocal cycle composed by Ralph Vaughan Williams,a famous British composer in the 19 th and 20 th centuries.The work with its abundant folk language,distinct personality characteristics,the temperament of modern music is well known in the world art song music,the work expresses the hero tramp love of nature and life and the feeling of love and pursuit of love,through the description of nature scene and reveal the desire for freedom and heaven,shows the hero bravely open-minded optimism in the state of mind and life journeyed.This paper is divided into three chapters.In chapter 1,the author preliminarily sorts out and introduces the art song "the tramp" by means of literature research,and explores the creation background of the work through the understanding of the life state,historical environment and values of the songwriter.Chapter 2 makes an empirical study of the audio and music scores of the works by means of analysis and observation,and analyzes the image and spiritual connotation of the music from the aspects of tonality,melody and lyrics.Chapter3 summarizes the singing requirements of the work by theoretical summary method,and analyzes and explores the singing methods from the aspects of language,speed,strength and stage performance of the work in combination with my own vocal music practice,so as to deeply understand the work and grasp the style of the work more accurately.
